Mexican Riviera Paradise Cruise

I was so ready for a vacation with Riki after having him work so much and not being able to see him. Big thanks to Ker for watching our bubs.

Fish we caught: Bonitos, Baraccuda, Mackrel, Paper Fish, and a Yellow Fin Tuna.
Fishing in Vallarta...Barracuda.

Parasailing in Mazatlan
Mazatlan..there were guys that would dive off the top of that white fence at the top of the rock in the background into the rocky shallow water. It was crazy.

Cabo San Lucas
The fam...minus Brack and his bunch (and the kiddos of course). We missed you guys. Thanks so much mom and dad for the awesome trip!!

BFFs

Our little bug had so much fun with her cousin in town who is just a month younger. They did everything together and got along so well. We are sad she lives on the extreme other side of the country. Here they are ...BFFs.

Here is the bubs on her favorite animal (next to dogs)...all by herself...I was so proud.

Camping in AF Canyon and Timp Cave

We spent the weekend camping up American Fork Canyons with our friends the Erickson's. It was so much fun. We were a little worried about how the kiddos would sleep and stay warm at night but it turned out to be not so bad. We did a little fishing and didn't even get a nibble (don't worry--we are used to it) and we hiked up to and through the cave (I forgot how awesome it was inside.) Anyway, we had loads of fun. Thank you Erickson's for the fun time.A cute pic of Dad and the little bubs. Happy Father's day, by the way. We love you!

At the top of the mountain just before cave tour. I think the little pumpkin is meditating.

Our new tent...We love it. Thanks Dad!!

Some hot sweaty babies after a nice nap in the sauna.

These photos are obviously not part of the campout but were in the same batch of pics, so here is a cute one of the "Polynesian Princess" (as my dad calls her) having fun with Grandpa in the back yard.

Grandpa made this cute flower crown for the princess.

The Tat

We are starting to get a little worried about our little one hanging out with the wrong crowd. The other night she came home smelling like undiluted juice and brownies. I could tell she had smeared some broccoli and milk on her clothes to cover it up. Then when we went to give her a bath our hearts skipped a beat as we saw the unfathomable:

I hope she find the right path soon. Please keep us in your prayers.

Whatever.

Well here we go again. After receiving some pressure from a few of you and my husband, here are some recent pictures. I just can't keep up with the whole blogging scene. I am close to admitting defeat. If you are looking for creative and entertaining blog entries, sorry you won't find them here. So there. Just get over it. I am blogging when ever I get the chance just so you can see our little girl grow up and see what else is going on (if I get around to blogging about it). I will not try to keep up with you practically professional bloggers out there. I will enjoy your blogs without comparing myself to you. Good. I'm glad that's out in the open.

Here's what has happened lately:
1. We sold our house!!!! (Knock on wood) We are scheduled to close on it on the 28th of this month. That is a huge relief. Thanks to my uncle Dave for all his help and time he put into it. We are moving the rest of our stuff out this weekend. If you are in Logan on Saturday morning we would appreciate any help. It will mostly be loading furniture and boxes into the moving truck. I will provide popcicles.
2. We had our preconstruction meeting on our house. This means we finalized all our colors, electrical, and structural changes to our house and now they will apply for the building permit. They say it will take about a month for the permit to be approved and four or five months for the house to be built. That puts us in around October or November. Yay. Thanks to Mom and Dad for letting us stay with them until then.
3. The bubs is so cute. She is learning lots more words and puts her finger to her lips and says "shhhhh" when her horsey is trying to sleep. She has a little bit of a lisp. So adorable.
4. Rik wanted me to note how manly he is. Very manly, babe. Trust me.
5. Jazz lost. Sad.
6. Archuleta vs. Cook tonight!

Here are some pictures.

St. George

So...it's been a while, I know. My sis is on my case about a new post so here is one. We just got back from a romantic getaway (without our little bubs) to St. George. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary...wow I can't believe it has been that long. So we rented a little condo in Green Valley and had so much fun. We got to do lots of things we haven't done in a long time. We went swimming in the warm weather, played a round of golf, went to Zions National Park and went on a few hikes, ate sushi, attended the temple, went to the Brigham Young house, and went to two movies. As you can see we really packed it in. I would post some pictures of Zion's (that's the only thing we took pictures of) but I am too lazy to go out to the car and get our camera...so you will have to wait to see those pics.
Well for those of you who don't know, we have moved back to Salt Lake and are living in my parent's basement. We are still trying to get our house sold in Logan and are building a home in Lehi. If anyone wants to buy a house in Cache Valley talk to me, I got a good one. Here is what our new house will look like (except different colors, and stone instead of brick - I am very excited about that. I have always wanted stone.):
That is mostly what has been occupying my mind lately. I have been busy doing taxes and am glad I am finally done with those too. Rik is doing well at work and has begun trading our retirement accounts himself. Things are going very well there too. For those of you who don't know, he is in the "options" business. He works for an educational company that teaches how to invest using options in the stock market. It's pretty cool. So things are good here.
